The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He tests and evaluates cleaning equipment, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. Multitaskers can be ideal for those who want to eliminate mopping from their to-do lists. Some of them have excellent mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads themselves to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model to choose if you want a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than other options on this list making it easier to navigate through tight corners and under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of the best navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It's got a battery of 4600mAh which can last up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery during the cleaning.
It's extremely fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one pass. Its 8,000pa motor is able to clean dirt as well as pet hair and droppings effortlessly. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help draw out debris from corners.
The mopping performance, though still impressive, is not as impressive. The rotating mop spins at a high speed and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when getting into narrow corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can be used to sweep up larger debris, like broken toys or books.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It is quieter and doesn't produce as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for its mopping function and is separate from the vacuum. It is simple to install and works well. However, if you are buying this vacuum solely to mop, you will need to pay attention to this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it an ideal choice for homeowners who want a highly effective, versatile and ad-hoc cleaning machine.
The device comes with a powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map your home and locate furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean methodically and efficiently. This leads to an efficient, consistent clean that is also quite fast.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. They can reach corners and baseboards as well as other difficult-to-access spots. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor close to the walls or other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and can be dried to remove odors and prevent buildup.
Another notable feature is the app-based customization options. www.robotvacuummops.uk allows you to adjust the suction intensity and choose a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also set the number of passes it must make, which will determine the speed at which the device can traverse your home. You can also turn off the side brush in order to prevent damage to carpets and rug.
The device has a expensive price tag, but it comes with a large selection of advanced features. However, it's important to remember that it carries regular costs, such as mopping supplies and maintenance. For instance the brushroll should be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad must be replaced every three to six months.
The robot vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and offers a wide variety of physical automation features. This includes an energy button that doubles as a general 'Clean button as well as a Home' button that will send it back to its base station after finishing its cleaning task. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank, and wash and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home clean without spending too much time doing chores. Its powerful performance, smart navigation and long battery life make it easy to keep a clean home with little effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one mop and vacuum. It is able to perform vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot is divided into two parts, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping unit that includes a microfiber pad. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may appear a bit dated but they're a good thing because you don't have to think about changing bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.
Our test subjects discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature is its precise floorplan map, which it utilizes when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.
The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at picking up hair of pets. It was able to capture a large amount of hair that our cats shed and even was able to get into the nooks and crannys of our stairs which other robots struggled. It was relatively quiet and even had some lovely jingles to indicated when it was beginning or finished its work.
The app was too simple and you had to change the modules every time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app doesn't have the capacity to store multiple maps, which could be a hassle if you have a home with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for an intelligent robot that is capable of mopping and vacuuming.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. However, it has some unique features which are worth a look. The X1 Omni's main draw is its huge dock, which serves as the robot's charging base and the housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning as well as the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.
The base has a few control buttons that let you manually start a cleaning task, recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock, which is a nice option for parents concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.
The Omni Omni like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to spot obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will steer clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
The X1 can be prone to become stuck when it is entangled in a blockage like a power cable draped over a rug. It will not work until you remove it manually. While this was rare however, it was a gruelling experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni does not have an "stuck" status alert on its application.
The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between use. This can cause mildew and mold.
On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a big contrast to the basic black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an impressive sight in a market dominated by clunky boxy models.
